Now you can gain unrestricted access to the Turbo, Turbo Inlet Pipe, Boost Control Solenoid or Waste Gate Actuator without having to remove your battery. Another unique feature is the mounting location for the ECU. Maintaining the OEM orientation, there's no need to remove any coverings from the wiring harness to attach the ECU. Battery tray
So the jbr battery tray is a nice small, compact, and simple to install which is great for me... it holds not just the battery, it also holds the ecu and also makes so much space to fit even a 4in intake if you so desire and ontop of that im even running a motion raceworks oil catchcan with dual 10an inlets In the space behind it between the battery and the abs module. I own a 2009 ms3 BTW and I have a damond trans mount also I absolutely recommend the battery tray it's everything I could ask for. I went with jbr over popular corksport because I was already running the catchcan behind the battery previously and I didn't want to make it complicated relocating the battery to the trunk. My only complaint would be is for the price with shipping, I would have wanted the bag that came with the hardware to be correct. I was missing 3 of the 4 nuts as well as washers that hold the ecu to the tray which I had to buy some that fit the screws. Other than that, the battery tray is a great product for those looking to simplify their engine bay while keeping the battery under the hood.

I have a 3" htp intake and it was rubbing against my ecu and i didnt want it to rub all the paint off so i decided to buy the jbr 51r battey tray . The jbr is cheaper then the htp battery tray and the corksport battety box . The jbr is a smiple design and is very easy to install the instructions from there website was easy to read and pictures of what to do. i recommend this tray to anyone wanting to save money and looking to upgrade to a bigger intake like a 3" a 3.5" and even a 4" intake it has lot's of room for Future upgrades
