The MazdaSPEED3 Vehicles use a by-pass-valve (BPV) system to recirculate excess pressure from the turbo when the throttle closes. When upgrading from the factory valve – it’s important to maintain this system.

We at cp-e™ designed a kit for the Mazda MZR 2.3l DISI motor to specifically utilize the HKS SSQV Valve. The kit comes with everything needed for a completely bolt-on, carefree and easy installation.
We designed a low profile CNC machined adapter flange to bolt on to the factory location and interface with the HKS valve. We also included our new, specially designed HeliHose™ - a flexible silicone hose that routes the vented air back into the inlet pipe, following the OEM design. The supplied Stainless Liner clamps ensure a tight fit without damaging the silicone.

The overall performance and sound of the BOV is nothing shy of amazing. It simply cannot be beat. Mine is being backed by a precision 5858 and the mix of spool and release, absolutely outstanding. Complaint: The HKS emblem on the top of the BOV is falling off, and one of the smill nut/bolts that run around the lip, came very loose and unable to be tightened. It doesn't leak so I just chalked it up as an eye soar and left it alone, but it is a lack of quality control. I have faith these are not common issues though.
I bought this specific set because the description said that all of the needed hardware was included. It's not. It requires the rubber seal from your stock BPV to seal the HKS valve to the car. While this wouldn't be such a big deal if I still had my stock BPV, I didn't. Instead I had to purchase it separately.
Fantastic product, very well built and looks amazing. Has some good weight to it. Makes one of the best BPV sounds once it's broken in. The flex hose is a great idea as the stock return hose just isn't bent right for the angle this needs to be at. It comes with extra length so i needed to cut it down a few times to get good fitment. The hardest part is getting that C Clip to seat properly. Took me roughly 30 mins for that alone. Installation was a breeze afterwards! Deffinately worth it though!
This valve sounds better than my three previous ones. The CPE flange is very well made and mates to the cold pipe perfectly. A good amount of force is needed to compress the oring and get the snap ring to seat. Make sure you have a good set of angled snap ring pliers handy.
Its was a complete kit.. Everything you need and more. Easy install
