The parts have been holding up for a while now, but be aware the kit comes with only enough friction washers for one cam. If you intend the untorque both cams for the install you will need to pick up an extra friction washer from the dealer

The installation was going very smooth up until i realized i only had one friction washer and two cam gears.

Everything was oem Mazda product. And worked as intended

Been working on cars for years and got my first speed 3 and the VVT went out did some research and edgeautosport popped up with a complete OEM kit and the tool need to hold time. I ordered this kit, delivered it to my mechanic who builds performance cars. He approved of it as its genuine OEM parts. The kit has everything you need, no more timing chain chatter on startups. I will use Edge again in the future as I start modifying and changing out parts. -Mike

All OEM parts, had every piece I needed to change out my worn timing chains. Replaced the oil pump chain as well, all rattle is now gone. Outside of this, tools you will definitely need will the the plate to lock the camshafts and blind hole plug for the crank.

It's a nice kit that comes with just about everything you need. I do wish it came with a few other items though, like most importantly another cam friction washer and cam bolt for the exhaust side. That way you could loosen that one up to assist in taking up the slack in the chain. Another good addition to this kit would be new oil pump guide and tensioner. I mean you are already in there and they have to be removed, might as well replace them. Lastly a step by step instruction manual would be nice but that's a bit of a stretch. Otherwise it's a good kit. The guys at edge are super knowledgeable and their help when ordering was fantastic. I'll definitely be returning for further purchases in the future.

Good OEM kit. It would be good to add a next camshaft bolt and camshaft washer. For which this seems to be the main problem for my issue was the exhaust cam shifted.

This kit did everything as advertised. I selected the timing tool option and it worked well. All parts were genuine Mazda (except for the accessory belt which seems to be of good quality none the less). My one small gripe is that the kit does not include the "O"-ring for the high pressure fuel pump. Mazda does recommend replacing this when removing the pump. I didn't replace mine as it was not torn, but it would make the kit more complete if it was included. Otherwise, all of the parts were great, and the horrible rattling noise on start-up is gone!

Ordered this kit to get rid of my Mazdaspeed6's start up chain rattling problem. It was an immediate fix! Recommend a dealership do this part, I know people who have worked on cars for 20+ years, and said they will never do a VVT. But the dealership said this kit was a complete set up. They didn't need any extra parts, no extra tools, and it was a simple and easy install. They were actually impressed.

I am local to edge and the guys there have always worked with me on shipping or pick up, this kit has everything you need to get the job done except gasket maker. Will definitely continue doing business with these guys!!

Recommended to these guys through the MPS OC. Arrived within a week of ordering to the UK, was kept updated on the status of delivery the whole way through.. Got fitted by Darren at DWR Performance (Chesterfield) & he commented it was great kit with everything needed! This kit was going to cost me £540 from total mps, I paid $500 (including the $100 ups delivery). It then cost me another £51Cod when it got to my house. Still made a nice saving of £160 and it was at my door from the USA within 6days. Thanks edgeautosport I will defo be using you again and spreading your name.

This kit had nearly everything I needed to do the VVT job on my MS6. All the genuine parts were great. The only things that should have been included were 1. The camshaft bolt which is TTY and must be replaced. 2. No sealant for the timing cover was included. Grab those items, and you're good to go!

Received friendly helpful advice on the phone. Order was placed online and delivered within 5 days to North East of England. Very reasonable shipping costs. Kit was fitted without a problem by local garage. If I had went to Mazda it would have cost at least twice as much. Superb.

Shipping cost : I'm from Canada, so I asked for USPS shipping, they accepted but finally sent everything via DHL, was not that happy because I doubted that I will had to pay big fees. Finally, I only paid a 43$ fees (tax + dhl fees + brokerage) (they rate my package at 200$ that saved me a lot! Just to let you know it's more than 200$ of saving versus buying this kit from Mazda Canada even when you include dhl fees, tax, shipping and brokerage .... A+ Processing / shipping time : they take 4 working days to process my package (Oct 2 to Oct 8), but they shipped it express (without additional cost) and when shipped, I received it in just 2 days (Oct 10)!!! A+ Package : Include everything needed (except the timing tools and the blind bolt to find tdc). A side note for Canadien buyers, if you don't have the time tools, you can find one on ebay, it's the one that I used. Just search Massive Cam Timing Chain Alignment Tools MZR 2.3 Turbo DISI Mazdaspeed 3 6 CX-7. As Oct 19 2014 edge don't sell any, so I should not be a problem for them if you buy this one.

Chain was rubbing, so could not drive it. dead. Made the call. Overnight parts from Colorado, put it on Harry's Tab, lol. Seriously, I was in a pinch, needed next day, and got a living, breathing engine again. These guys rock so hard, they were an 80's hair band.

Having spent weeks trying to get this kit in the UK with no luck what so ever. Mazda UK want £500 just for the actuator and all the other parts suppliers send out the wrong kit. i clicked on my item 2 days later it was with my mechanic. Excellent work guys.

Great all the parts i need except could of used the seal for the valve cover vvt part.

The kit gives you everything you need except sealer for the timing cover.

Great kit, everything needed to do your vvt swap, replace your chain and other bits. **** one suggestion to edge***** the kit includes 3 friction washers for the crank,and new crank bolt. 9/10 times people are NOT going to replace the last friction washer behind the oil pump sprocket. The kit only contains 1 cam sprocket washer for the vvt. Maybe offer a choice to the customer to delete one crank washer and add a cam sprocket washer to loosen the exhaust cam. EDGE had this kit to me in 1 day!!!! i paid the small fee to bump the shipping but still, 12 hours to ship from the mid west/west to florida! OUTSTANDING! EDGE is KILLER! thanks guys....rocking the EDGE sticker too lol
