Installed this with the sandwich plate. Fit was perfect. As an added bonus I have much less timing chain rattle on a cold start now. Very satisfied

  2. OEM Kit, shipped quickly

I installed this kit on my 2009 Mazdaspeed3 to replace the factory cartridge filter housing. This is an OEM part, along with the provided oil filter. It installs in the same location as the existing cartridge filter, and comes with a new gasket which mounts between the housing and the engine block.

You will need a short 15mm box-end wrench in order to remove the bolt holding the oil cooler to the oil filter housing. Be careful in removal and installation that you do not damage the gasket on the oil cooler. The bolt is torqued to ~24 ft-lbs.

  3. Very easy swap

  5. ms3 spin on filter kit

Great kit, with all the necessary parts!! Although, it was easy to install, there were no instructions. My only issue with no instructions were I had no torque specs for the adapter plate mount bolts or oil cooler mount bolt.
