Supertech is the first to release a 4032 style off the shelf piston for the Mazdaspeed 3 and 6. The 4032 alloy features a high level of silicon over a 2618 piston. This alloy is less prone to heat expansion and flex which makes it a great option for a high powered, true street car build. Tolerances can be kept tighter with this style of piston as well. With the high silicon content, the piston is less flexible and more brittle than a 2618 so it's not ideal for record breaking power numbers, dyno runs, and drag racing. But it is good for longevity and reliability while still holding lots of power from it's forged construction. Supertech incorporated the newest style of Mazdaspeed piston with the long, wide dish in the center to take full advantage of the direct injection fueling system. The piston will come with Supertech's piston surfacing, a dry lubricant to prevent micro welding when the engine is first started.

Supertech pistons
Love the quality and design of the pistons except for the fact that i had to get new oil squirters from the 2nd generation speed 3 since those ones are adjustable and the supertech pistons didn't clear my oil squirters. Super frustrating to put it all together and then have to take it back apart. Definitely something that should be noted in the item description.
