The PRL Motorsports Helix Air Oil Separator, Silver is developed for the Honda Civic Type R FL5 2023-2025 equipped with the turbocharged 2.0L engine. This air oil separator system is engineered to remove oil vapor, fuel dilution, and moisture from crankcase blowby gases before they are recirculated through the factory PCV system into the intake tract. Controlling oil contamination in high-output turbocharged engines helps maintain cleaner intake components and consistent combustion performance under varying boost levels.
Proprietary Helix Separation System
At the core of this unit is a proprietary internal helix that creates controlled centrifugal airflow inside the canister. As blowby gases enter the separator, heavier contaminants are directed outward to the canister walls where they condense and collect at the base of the unit. The filtered air is then routed back into the intake system, preserving closed loop operation and maintaining factory ECU fueling behavior.
The system is fully serviceable and requires periodic draining depending on driving habits, climate, and engine output.
