The PRL Motorsports Helix Air Oil Separator, Silver is engineered for the Honda Civic 1.5T 2016-2021 platform to manage crankcase blowby gases in turbocharged applications. This air oil separator system is designed to remove oil vapor, excess fuel, and moisture before these contaminants are routed back into the intake tract through the factory PCV system. By reducing contamination within the intake path, the system supports cleaner intake valves, stable combustion characteristics, and consistent engine performance over time.
Helix Separation Technology
At the core of this air oil separator is a proprietary internal helix that generates controlled centrifugal motion inside the canister. As blowby gases pass through, heavier oil particles and moisture are directed outward to the walls of the canister, where they condense and collect at the bottom of the unit. The separated air is then returned to the intake system, maintaining proper closed loop operation and factory fueling behavior.
The system is fully serviceable and requires periodic draining depending on driving conditions and climate.
