NGK Iridium IX spark plugs are a high quality performance spark plug featuring an iridium tip for very consistent and stable spark. Iridium also has a very high melting point which keeps it functional in a high heat, high performance engine. The Iridium IX spark plug also features special plating to resist corrosion and seizing.
Commonly used in the Mazdaspeed 3, Mazdaspeed 6, Mazda CX-7 and other engines. This is a one step colder plug (higher heat range) when using on the MZR DISI engine.

The plugs seem to be better at low and high rpm and my car doesn't back fire in the morning any more had cheap plugs before thanks edge auto sports

The perfect spark plugs
I'm using these spark plugs since about 58k kms/36k miles when I started to modify my 3MPS. I've been through a lot of stages and now the car is at 173k kms/107k miles with a lot of modifications including inside the engine. My only conclusion is that these spark plugs are probably the perfect ones once you start modding your car and even in in the upper stages (big turbo, meth, and so on). They work great both in -35C/-31F winter (yeah, we've been through 1-2 since 2008) and +42C/107F summer days (yes, we have these as well, continental climate gets us).

1 step colder NGK plugs a must have!
Hi from Australia! I've had these plugs for only about 200 km, but the difference in 1 step colder plugs from the OEM plugs (both NGK I'm pretty certain) are pretty much perfect right now, especially now that we're going into winter season and cold starts are little more rough. I gapped the plugs down to 0.026 which is what is typically recommended. I'm interested to see how they hold up in the future but for what it's worth, with a Cobb stage 1 OTS tune for 98 fuel, engine runs super smooth right now and pulls on cold nights are pushing me into the seat. The two sets of 4 that I ordered through Edge came in less than 2 weeks which is impressive to me, perfect condition, as usual!
