If you plan to use the TR8 or TR8L intercooler cores, you'll need to purchase the JBR Crash Bar separately, located here - https://edgeautosport.com/jbr-crash-bar-for-front-mount-intercooler-kit-mazdaspeed-3-2010-2013/.

If you are planning on using a TR6 intercooler core with the stock crash beam, you'll need to purchase the mounting brackets separately, which can be found here - https://edgeautosport.com/jbr-intercooler-mounting-bracket-tr6-mazdaspeed-3-2010-2013/.

JBR FMIC Piping Kit, 2010 - 2013 Mazdaspeed 3 for TreadStone TR8 Intercooler

The OEM top mount intercooler is sufficient for stock horsepower but, for those wanting to make more, it simply isn't capable of providing the cooling capacity necessary. To make more power, the OEM top mounted intercooler needs to be removed and replaced with a larger front mounted intercooler. The JBR Front Mounted Intercooler Piping Kit for the 2010 – 2013 Mazdaspeed 3 makes that possible, easily and more effectively than any other piping kit on the market.

Thin walled aluminum piping carries hot boost air from the turbo all the way to the base of the radiator. Aluminum was chosen here for its very high heat transfer coefficient. Meaning, boost temperature will begin to drop as soon as it exits the turbo. At the base of the radiator the aluminum then transitions to a one piece, high strength thick walled silicone hose, which then wraps around the core support and in to the intercooler. This design significantly reduces the typical number of connections, simplifies the installation and greatly lowers the chances for leaks.

Upon exiting the intercooler, the cool boost air enters another one piece, high strength, thick walled silicone hose and travels from there, all the way to the intake manifold. Silicone has a very low heat transfer coefficient so, the hot ambient air in and around the engine bay will not be able to penetrate through all of the layers of silicone therefore, the cold air you just spent $800 to get cool, will stay cool. All other kits currently on the market have several couplers, elbows, and connections long before ever reaching the intake manifold. Not only does that make for a difficult installation but the potential for leaks is drastically increased.

Hot pipe needs a little work to get fit but it's nothing major, overall super easy install

    Nice Kit

Great kit at a nice price. I did have some fitment issues with my TR1035 though. I had to cut both silicone hoses where they meet the IC to make it fit. The hot side pipe that comes down vertically comes very close to the AC line (had to bend that and it still occasionally rubs). As far as quality of the pipes go, they are second to none!

    Awesome kit

Fitment was spot on and install was a breeze. The piping and silicone are both great quality and feel like they will last a lifetime. I would definitely recommend this to anybody looking for that fmic upgrade. I also bought the jbr crash bar and paired it with the TR8 core.

    JBR FMIC Piping Kit

Best piping Kit I have seen and used yet !!! Limited couplers which is nice because it limits the amount of boost leak possibilities . I've gotten tons of compliments on it on how nice the finish on the pipes are ! Overall great product and easy to install
