A replacement turbo actuator for the Maxda 2.3 found in the Mazdaspeed 3, 6, and the CX7. This actuator uses a piston design for maximum longevity in comparison to the OEM diaphragm unit. Using a range of available springs this actuator can be tuned to suit your requirements. Sold complete with mounting bracket.
This product is built with a predetermined actuator spring suitable for at, or slightly above factory boost levels. The actuator can be assembled with a stiffer spring upon request. Please contact us directly concerning this process
It is designed and built with the intention of increasing the boost output of a turbocharged system. We cannot guarantee compatibility with all applications, nor the ability to increase the boost output beyond a level that is within the parameters set by the engine-management-system of the given vehicle at the time of installation, whether that system is factory or aftermarket.
Forge Motorsport nor any of it’s authorised distributors can assume any responsibility for any adverse effects resulting from the installation and tuning of this product onto a vehicle whose engine-management-system, whether factory or aftermarket, is not capable of allowing for the desired level of adjustment. While Forge Motorsport is happy to supply you with an actuator capable of holding boost beyond that of your factory unit we are in no way capable of knowing nor suggesting that your vehicle's engine or related systems are capable of supporting or surviving the stresses of such elevated boost pressure.

Not a good stock replacement
My stock actuator bit the bullet and stopped working, leading to overboosting. I was looking for a new one which would replace the stock - unfortunately this did not fit the bill, even though Edge told me it had the same spring rate as the stock one. Upon initial install (with 3 turns in of preload), my boost numbers were capping at 12 PSI - my car is tuned for 21 PSI. I started progressively increasing the preload, the best I was able to manage before running into overboost was 17 PSI, and it wouldn't even hold that but instead hit it momentarily, then drop back to ~15 PSI. On top of this, as another reviewer mentioned, the holes in the bracket are about 3mm too close together and must be drilled out, and the bracket itself doesn't align the actuator correctly, so I had to modify it in my vice. There may well be situations where it makes sense to use this, but in my case this was 100% a waste of $180. I ended up getting a used stock actuator for $60 and that sorted out my issues perfectly.

It works....
First off, this is part looks great and machine work looks top notch. i bought this to replace my it does go down hill a little, The one I received did not fit my stock K04 MS3 turbo, the mounting holes where .120 too close, so i had to modify the SS plate mount so it would bolt up. After all the install woes of the E-Clip and it was running again and it works great.
