Are you looking to improve the power and torque on your performance vehicle, but don’t have time, or are not located close enough to a dyno shop? With eTuning, custom calibration is as easy as opening an email and downloading a file.
To be eligible for a custom eTune, you must first have purchased a Cobb Tuning Accessport. These allow you to flash the custom calibrations to your vehicle.
E-Tuning is a form of custom calibration processed through email rather than in person. The customer is responsible for completing specific types of datalogs and emailing them to the calibrator. The calibrator, or tuner, then sends a revision to the customer after analyzing the datalogs. Through this process, a custom calibration can be completed.
Upon purchasing an eTune, you will receive an email requesting more info about your car and your specific goals so that a base map can be created for you. The base map will be emailed to you along with instructions for how to datalog as well as what to datalog. Once datalogs are received, they will be analyzed, and a revision will be created to further optimize your vehicle until the calibration is complete.
Our e-tune welcome letters and initial correspondence are automated and may be marked as spam - please make sure to check your spam filters and folders, just in case.
eTuning Options:
Fuel choice – You can run a single fuel map, a dual fuel map, or a flex fuel map depending on your vehicle and the modifications available for it. Dual fuel/Flex Fuel refers to running both a pump gas map and an ethanol map. Ethanol allows for considerably more power to be had while reducing risk to the vehicle.
Turbo – A larger turbo requires more in-depth calibration than the factory turbo.
Auxiliary Fuel – On direct injection platforms, most of the vehicles we work with are generally limited to around 400whp. Adding auxiliary fuel, whether it's extra injectors in a port injection configuration or methanol nozzles, requires extra calibration to get everything working in harmony with the factory ECU.
**All etuning services have a 60 day window of service from the time the initial calibration is sent to the customer. During this time, you are allowed to make minor changes to the car and still receive updated maps for those changes during that time. Minor changes include bolt-on parts such as intake, intercooler, downpipe, exhaust, intercooler piping, etc. However, any major change of the customer's setup will require a complete new tune to be purchased. This includes upgraded turbos, nitrous, auxiliary fuel, methanol injection, camshaft upgrades, etc. The 60 day window does NOT include time you need to repair the car. If your car is in need of repair after we send the first calibration and it remains out of service through the 60 day window, no refunds will be given and a new tune must be purchased after the 60 day window.
