Edge Autosport 2009 Mazdaspeed 3 Project Car

Our Mazdaspeed 3 is what started it all for us.  It's the car that helped us become a bigger part of the performance community and one that we had a particular interest in at the start of the company.  It created an awesome foundation for learning and understanding how to properly go about modifying a car.  Although we didn't totally stretch the limits with this car due to limited resources, we certainly had a blast with it and it will always have a spot in our sentimental garage.  We love this car.  

We really wish we had more information and content built around this car but the truth is, we really didn't start blogging and writing about our projects until way after we started this project and mostly after we sold it.  With that said, here is what we have and what we did. 

The initial build consisted of some regular bolt-ons and power adders.  We're pretty big into engine performance around here so we always go after the power goals first.

Stock Turbo, 18 psi, 92 octane pump gas, 290 whp and 334 wtq

This video is actually a different setup than what we have on the car now which is why the power figures are slightly off from what the video says.  For some reason the final tune that we flashed out of 4 didn't make it on the dyno sheet.  We just barely pulled some of the fuel out of the car and got the 290/334, not shown on the graph.

As of March 9, 2012, our CP-E Manifold and GT3076R EWG Bolt-On Turbo Kit from ATP Turbo has been installed and is running well.  You can see our powder coated valve cover is the same as the wheel color.  We'll be making finishing touches to our build and getting on the dyno to tune as soon as possible.
