DBA Street Series T2 slotted brake rotors have a greater level of braking performance than most traditional slotted rotor designs. The slots are designed bi-symmetrically with curved slots that reduce noise and vibration in the rotor. This results in a quieter, more responsive, and smoother pedal feel. The T2 slot design also provides more places for the gases built up during braking to escape from. This ultimately helps keep the pad in better condition allowing it to bite harder and more consistently.
DBA’s patented “Kangaroo Paw” vane design, which is located in the center of the rotor, has an extremely unique pattern with 144 diamond and tear drop shaped pillars allowing for better pad loading and even weight distribution as the brake rotor spins. This gives the brake rotor the ability to cool faster while maintaining dimensional strength and stability. The brake rotor’s efficiency can be increased up to 20% over conventional rotor designs.
With DBA rotors, the surface level is machined to the micron level which provides an extremely smooth disc surface so brake pads do not wear too quickly and the bed-in is much healthier. This smooth of a surface is better suited for large fluctuations in temperature in higher performance applications.
