Product Description:
The cp-e™ downpipe set for the Ford Explorer ST is crafted to be the strongest and most durable downpipe available for the Explorer ST. Every detail has been meticulously designed, featuring a unique, cast stainless steel bellmouth built to last the vehicle's lifetime. This design is significantly more robust than a welded flange and tube combination.
The top O2 bung port is precision cast in place, ensuring an optimal location in the Explorer ST’s tight engine bay and exhaust tunnel. The catalytic converter is brazed to the sidewall of the outer shell, allowing full airflow and enhanced durability. The endcaps are stamped for added strength and improved exhaust gas flow.
The secondary O2 sensor is CNC machined in-house, providing a perfect fit for superior welding. It is mounted with CNC laser-cut brackets made in-house, unlike others that use a rod and flat piece of sheet metal. The tubing is CNC bent using 16-gauge stainless steel and end-formed to maintain one-piece construction, ensuring durability against temperature and vibrations.
All fixtures and welding are done in-house using CAD to ensure uniformity and superior results. Our custom, 4-layer stainless steel exhaust gasket offers an enhanced seal over typical 2-layer gaskets. Specifically designed for the Explorer ST, this gasket will soon be available for all downpipes.
