Top mount intercoolers have become one of the most popular bolt-ons for the MZR DISIengines. cp-e™ set out to design the best.
The biggest restriction of the stock TMIC is the outlet. Knowing this, cp-e™ alleviated these restrictions through a casting design with a smooth flowing unshrouded outlet. Both endtanksare completely cast to help flow in and out of the core while providing consistency. The core of the cp-e™ TMIC is made of bar and plate for its pressure efficiency and its cooling capabilities. The 3.25” thick core alleviates pressure drop while not interfering with the hood or surrounding components. cp-e™ determined the maximum fin density to create the largest temperature drop across the core. We have even capped every bolt hole location to prevent leaks that would normally go undetected by the consumer. The cp-e™ TMIC comes with 6061 billet CNC brackets machined to perfection on our 4 axis CNC machine.
The shroud is CNC laser cut from billet 6061 aluminum to provide the best possible fitment. The mounting tabs for the shroud are CNC machined from 6061 billet so that they match the shroud exactly.
All of these features add up to the best TMIC out there. Made in the U.S.A. and backed by the best Warranty in the industry.

Cpe top mount intercooler great buy
Honestly great performance and build quality, really opens up the top end airflow and has solid gains even without a tune revision I recommend it to anyone and everyone looking to upgrade but doesnt want to spend 1K on a fmic, heat soak really isnt a issue and the top mount stays cool even with extended periods of mixed driving. Im very pleased with it

CP-E OS A GO TO FOR A GOOD DEAL!!!
Alright so here is is a week after installing my Cp-e Intercooler and gotta say for the cost to benefit Facts is AMAZING! Cause you get good results in lower bat n iat for a lower cost then a front mount , I know everybody goes Fromt mount but unless you drag racing religiously I didn’t think it was a good route for me. But I love it I dig the finish and love the top shield fits perfect! If your going for cosmetics why are you even building a race car?........

Get the ETS
After checking these out on line for some time i decided to go ahead and get one. Many of the pictures I saw online (including the pictures on the CPE website) showed a nicely finished intercooler that looked high quality for the price. As soon as I unboxed this so called "made in America" intercooler i could tell i made a mistake. After handling the intercooler i went and started typing on my computer and noticed paint all over my computer which was also covering my hands. this is how terrible the finish of the intercooler was. Next, the cast end tanks were poorly cast and had pitting inside the end tanks. Also, for any of you with a Gen 2, this intercooler cannot be used with the shroud that they provide you in the kit which makes no sense. It says it plain and simple in the instructions not to use the shroud on the intercooler if on a Gen 2. This completely defeats most of the purpose. However, I decided to hook up the shroud to see how well it fit. Once i placed the shroud on the intercooler the back of the shroud covered almost 2" of the cooling fins. Last but not least, the CPE stencil looked like it was spray painted on by a small child. CPE apparently has completely thrown out their quality standards with this new "titan finish" garbage and this has deterred me from buying any of their products again. Overall, this is a massive piece of $400 junk that i can promise you is not made in the USA. After returning the CPE I went with the ETS and could not be more happier. Truly an amazing quality piece compared to CPE.

Looks great with performance to back it up
The first thing you will notice when you pull this thing out of the box is the thickness of the core. This thing is way thicker than the OEM Intercooler. The endtanks look great and the welds are solid. The finish of this piece is what I like the most. You will pick up airflow in the lower and midrange but being that it's mounted in the engine bay you will heat soak if you sit in traffic for too long. But if you are keeping a small frame turbo like the K04 or the BNR S3 this will be more than enough for you.
