The Cobb Focus ST Intake incorporates the great OEM airbox design and makes it even better! We improved upon the factory airbox ram air ducting by including an oiled dual cone filter to increase airflow and to hear that great turbo sound. The constrained piping to the turbo is replaced with 3" mandrel bent aluminum tubing to maximize air flow and uses custom silicone couplers to fasten everything together. This is the next generation Focus ST Intake which features OEM-like fitment across all model years and an updated wrinkle black powdercoat finish. The Cobb Focus ST Intake is the perfect first step towards Stage 2 power levels when paired with the Cobb FMIC! Fitment verified for left-hand drive vehicles only.

    RHD Big turbo upgrade

Posted by Matt on Dec 22nd 2016

Overall fit and finish is excellent and great product. However fitted to a RHD Focus fitted with a larger ATP it needed some "massaging" with a mallet to get it to clear the master cylinder. Certainly not an issue with the product just thought it was worth noting if anyone is looking to go big turbo on a RHD ST. Very happy with it once modified to fit my needs

    nice sound, hard install, expensive

This thing is a pain to install. Lightly oiling the fittings helped but attache the OTE pipe to the coupler on the turbo isnt easy. The intake also doensnt use all the stock mounting points. It uses one nearest to the intake box. My pipe was no where near lined up enough to mount back up. I have to wiggle it around alot to line up with the hole. Finally, it rubs on the gas line!!! Seriously!! Who designed this. It would take a couple degrees more in a bend to avoid such a thing. There is plenty of room for it to have clearance. I have to think the R&D was sub par. This is my first and LAST Cobb part. So....Sounds great, no noticeable gains (obviously), pain to install, expensive, and rubs on gas line. That's one to many negatives for me.

    Nice, but not great.

Don't get me wrong. It's the best cai on the market in my opinion. I loved the factory air box, and Cobb left it alone. They got rid of that crap Ford called piping. This intake makes the engine bay look so much better. My gripe is its very quiet. Hard to make out the turbo spool. It's there, but not loud like my past intakes on turbo'd cars. Still, a must have.
