The Bosch 3 bar MAP sensor is a critical upgrade for those seeking boost levels higher than 22psi in the Mazdaspeed 3 and 6. Almost any larger turbo will be pushed past this point and even if it's not, it'll be close. It's a wise decision to upgrade the factory 2.5 bar MAP sensor since it only reads accurately to 22psi. The 3 bar sensor will allow the ECU to accurately read up to about 29psi, perfect for almost any bolt on turbo kit boost level or any stock turbo boost level you can achieve. The Bosch sensor DOES NOT plug into the factory harness and will need to connect via the Bitwise harness connector or a Bosch plug rewired into the factory harness. The easiest and fastest way is the plug and play Bitwise connector.
