The Autotech HPFP kit offers the highest quality, solid engineering, and the greatest value from any high pressure fuel pump on the market.
The Autotech HPFP can achieve flow rates 50% higher than the original pump, essentially removing pump limitations from the equation, even on high-end turbo upgrades.
The problem with the Mazdaspeed 3 and 6 is that the factory High Pressure Fuel Pump (HPFP) internals can't handle the extra fuel demand brought on by upgrading to higher flowing downpipes and intakes. When you add these upgrades, the factory fuel pump will begin to drop like what is shown in this graph.
As you can see, fuel pressure drops hard at peak load and has trouble keeping up. With an upgraded Autotech HPFP, your car will be able to maintain fuel pressure no problem. In fact, the Autotech HPFP Upgrade is the only fuel mod between you and your Mazdaspeed 3 or 6 and making up to 400whp.
It is a good idea to have a Cobb Tuning Accessport at the time of this upgrade as that will allow you to monitor your fuel pressure and give you peace of mind that the HPFP internals were installed correctly. Not to mention all the tuning benefits you get as well.

- Each piston (9.8mm diameter) and cylinder in Autotech HPFP kit undergo a high-precision grinding processes many times during manufacturing, ensuring that the most precise tolerances are maintained through the final step. Not the cheapest way to make them but the best way.
- Each piston and cylinder are match-ground and serialized to ensure absolute precision and the utmost longevity.
- Autotech was the first to incorporate plasma DLC coating on HPFP components to reduce friction losses and increase performance. Others have tried to follow by adding a coating to their parts. However, the DLC process alone is not enough, it is not a cure for substandard precision. The parts must be precisely engineered for the process to take full advantage. Must have if your adding bolt on, no more ticking noise .
I know it’s a big investment on a $300+ part, but once you put it on it will make you feel it was worth way more. No more high ticking noise and no more hesitation when I’m WOT. All I have is some bolts on and a new k04 turbo and it’s run beautiful. Thank you Auto-tech for the part and thank you edgeautosport for the support to our community of speeds. I’ve owned mine since 2008 and still driving it.

2000+psi WOT romps!!!!
Makes feel 100% safe to go WOT on my MS3. Even though I was still safe on my stock pump at 1700+psi. This upgrade jumps it all the way up to 2000+psi. That's a big jump for a safety for the future mods. Definitely a modification that will make you smile for the long haul.

the perfect pump
i ordered this pump for my mazdaspeed 6, i have a cpe turbo inlet and cpe cai and still on stock tune. installation vas easy if you have the correct tools for the job, you cant do it wrong. before with my stock pump on a cold stard i had a bit of detonation as the rpms are going down to stabilise at 1000 rpm. All this is gone after the install of the pump. I had to clean the housing i had a good amount of dirt in there. so perfect fit and perfect product. thank you edge autosport for the great job, i had the pump send to Europe in 2 days.

Needed to Go Fast
This HPFP is needed if you want to do anything major to your Mazdaspeed. After the install I could immediately feel a difference when I was at full throttle or even when I was at idle; The car just felt smoother overall. The fuel pressure stays at around 1750 - 1850 psi strong under hard acceleration, so if your fuel pump is having trouble keeping up with your mods (downpipe, intake, etc) I would highly recommend getting this part. Shipping was quick, install was relatively painless (if you are planning to do this upgrade at home you NEED a vice clamp to remove the stuck OEM pump; it is really stuck in there!). Overall great product!

Have nothing to say about the product atm. Need to test it properly before commenting the internals. Straight forward installation guide, if you not clean the pumphouse it take 5min to install new bits (pretty new car) in the house and 1-1.5h installation time or even less. Thanks to edgeautosport regarding good products so far and shipping and good packing!
