ACUiTY engineers, in addressing the FK8's overheating concerns in hot conditions, discovered that reversing the water flow through the radiator enhances heat rejection. This is particularly beneficial given how the intercooler dissipates heat from charge air and how that heat flows through the lower section of the radiator. In hot conditions, especially on vehicles with enhancements like hood venting and an upgraded radiator, these hoses demonstrated a notable temperature reduction of up to an additional 4.5°F (2.5°C). Even on stock cars, temperature reduction is evident, hovering around 1°F (0.6°C) in hot conditions.
Constructed with polyester-reinforced silicone, these hoses can withstand temperatures up to 100°F higher than stock EPDM rubber hoses. The kit includes German-style hose clamps featuring formed threads and rolled edges, offering added protection against cutting damage that traditional hose clamps may inflict on silicone hoses. Each set comprises 2 silicone radiator hoses and 4 German-style hose clamps.
