The ACT Ford Focus ST clutch kit features a heavy duty pressure plate which provides a much higher clamping power than stock. This results in a slightly harder pedal pressure to disengage the clutch but is also what allows for the higher torque capacity. The clutch disc itself is a rigid hub. Normally, this would indicate a little rougher clutch engagement but because this clutch is made for use with the factory, dual mass flywheel, the vibration and harshness is reduced at the flyhweel more than with an aftermarket, single mass flyhweel which helps make up for the solid disc type. The disc is a full face disc which features clutch pad material covering the entire disc, instead of being segmented like a 6 pad disc. This is a great setup for high performance street use in the ST. Included with the ACT Focus ST clutch kit is the throwout bearing which is integrated with the new slave cylinder. An alignment tool is also provided to make sure the installation goes easier.
This clutch is rated to 445 ft. lbs. or torque at the flywheel. This would be a great clutch for any stock turbo Focus ST with or without supporting power modifications.
All individual components are available separately for any future replacement needs.

Clutch life
Mine only lasted 15k miles before started to slip, if you’re not running crazy power (400+HP) you should stick to oem clutch

2000 mile review
All is good. Grabs amazing, car reacts very well when in WOT pulls and when shift the clutch grabs quickly sending power straight to the wheels. I did a clutch line upgrade to remove the restriction valve in the factory line. A little rougher engange ment off the line but once moving it's perfect. Great product and great people at edge autosport.

Bought this 2 days after release
Great price and better option then Spec. I have had a few spec clutches in my past builds and they just don't hold up. ACT is a great company. Also I ordered this so quick to release they didn't have one in stock yet. Edge called me within a day to let me know what was going on. They had it shipped directly to me from ACT an arrive within a couple days. ACT also offers a replacement disc for when/if it wears out. Keeps future cost down. And I believe the replacement disc is under $200, around $175-180 range. I would recommend getting a single mass billet flywheel. Help free up some HP. The factory flywheel is very heavy for a little 2.0L you will save over 10lbs and also a single mass flywheel you can turn. A Dual mass you cannot. So if your going to pull the transmission do it right. Get a Flywheel too don't take the risk on ruining a $680 clutch
